Benefits of Electric Cooling
Electric cooling offers a cheap, clean and quiet alternative to noisy and polluting diesel generators at truck parks and distributions centers.
Electric cooling is substantially cheaper than using diesel and saves on maintenance costs of diesel generators
Electric cooling reduces CO2 emissions by 70% and achieves over 90% reduction in NOx and PM-10 emissions
No running diesel generators, means substantial lower noise levelsNomadPower in action
Working Towards Sustainable Road Transport
Quiet & Sustainable Logistics
International pharmaceutical transport company VTS Transport from Boxmeer in Holland, has chosen NomadPower as partner for sustainable cooling during breaks and overnight stays. VTS Transport has a young fleet with modern EURO 6 engines for minimal environmental impact. Electric cooling via NomadPower helps to further reduce emissions and give their drivers a better night's rest.

Daily Fresh Meat Deliveries in Europe
With 1,000 cooling units and 1,500 trailers, HSF Logistics is one of the leading players in European refrigerated transport. The branch director of HSF Nijmegen explains:
“Via our branch in Nijmegen we regularly transport to and from England. Drivers are often on the road for several days. Thanks to NomadPower, the Moto UK truck parks offer clean and quiet charging during overnight stays. Our planning department activate the power supply for the drivers: this works quickly and easily. We are partners for over a year now and see substantial cost savings by cooling with electricity instead of diesel”.
Visbeen from Nieuwe-Tonge is a NomadPower user from the very start.
"It is always quite difficult for drivers to find a parking space. Finally you’ve found one, then along comes a great roaring diesel generator which leads to great irritation with other drivers. By using NomadPower, the noise is significantly reduced”, says logistics manager Joost Visbeen. "Another big advantage is that it is immediately clear what the unit has consumed and we then link this directly back to our TMS system”.

Connect and Keep Warm
NomadPower not only supplies power to cool but also, to heat loads.
Van den Bosch Transport uses NomadPower at various locations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and England to maintain liquids by heating them.

Henk Vlot Transport
Transport of refrigerated containers is a specialist niche within the transport sector. Henk Vlot Transport from Haalten is one of these well-known specialists. Cool containers can easily be connected to NomadPower with a '4-pin to 5-pin' adapter.
Transport planner Arnold Visser explains: "Our cooling units on the containers use a 4-pin plug, this is the standard for this type of containers, however most European three-phase plugs are 5-pin. This is easily solved by using an adapter to go from 4-pin to a 5-pin connection. NomadPower helped us with this by purchasing the right adapters at a good price. We now regularly use NomadPower during our trips in Germany”.
"While I am using my smartphone and cable, I see two drivers already looking at me. The moment I plug in the cable, they ask what this is. This is NomadPower’, says Johnny Brummans, truck driver at H.Essers Transport. He is a user and fan of NomadPower from the very start.
"It is a super nice idea. Cooling your truck with electricity while you sleep. You simply plug in and the electric motor runs. Now you only hear a slight humming sound. It makes a huge difference. Now at least I can sleep peacefully day and night. Previously, the cooling mechanism was powered by a diesel engine and there was a lot of noise. Now I check the app in advance to which charging points are free, so I can plan my quiet breaks. Upon arrival I simply plug in the cable and start charging via the NomadPower app. I do not have to worry about it anymore. The account automatically goes to H.Essers where they have an overview of everything.”
Three phase Power for nightliner buses
With the festival season in full swing these are busy times for Rockstar Logistics from Ireland.
"We operate throughout Europe and drive from festival to festival with our sleeping busses”, says Gareth Rees one of the drivers. "Access to three-phase power is often not a problem at the festivals themselves, however, as soon as we are on the move, it is often difficult to find a suitable parking spot with access to electricity. NomadPower offers us these facilities. We save so much time and money. A great idea! “
Small but Smart
Most customers of NomadPower use the standard red 5-pin 32A plug for power flow to the cooling unit. What if you transport cool containers that use a 4-pin connection or drive smaller cars with cooling at 220v?
Winder Logistics from Lithuania had just this problem. Manager Paulius Eiva contacted NomadPower:
"We would like to use electricity for the cooling of our pharma transport. Our modern fleet of small trucks has been specially designed to deliver fast and flexible to our customers in Europe, but the cooling unit on our cooling units runs on 220V. Luckily NomadPower could advise us. They arranged fast and cheap delivery of the right adapters. Our drivers now always connect to NomadPower!"
